Kathy Stewart has been involved in Keeshonds since 1977. The "Klompen" kennel has had 7 individual Best in Show winners, 12 separate Best in Specialty Show winners, and 19 individual Best Puppy in Show winners.

In the summer months she and Bruce live in Spruce Grove, south west of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

In 1994, Kathy made the conscious decision to stop campaigning dogs and began to judge them instead. She is now approved in Canada to judge all of the Non-Sporting, Working and Toy breeds and Best in Show. She has judged in Canada, the USA and Overseas.

• In 1997, she judged the male classes and intersex classes at the Nor-Cal Keeshond Club Specialty show held in Sacramento, California, USA.
• In 1999, she judged a large entry at the Keeshond Club of Victoria’s Championship Show which was held in Victoria, Australia; followed by a second assignment in Sydney in 2007.
• In 2009, Kathy judged the Keeshond Club of Canada's National Specialty Show which was held in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
• Also in 2009, she judged the Futurity and Maturity classes at the Keeshond Club of America's National Specialty Show in Colorado Springs, CO, USA.

She is scheduled to judge at the Norwegian Keeshond Club's 20th Anniversary show in Trondheim in 2010.

Her appointment at the North of England Keeshond Club’s 75th Anniversary Championship Show 2011 will be the first time she will have judged and awarded CCs in the UK, and we look forward to her experienced opinion of the Breed in this country.
